Sliding Caliper (poech type)

GPM Model 114    Price:  $2,419

Product Details

This slide compass is fitted on the main bar, has millimeter graduations, and works on the same principle as the Martin’s slide compass. The transverse bars, pointed at one end, can be moved as well and have graduations from 0-140 mm.

It is especially suitable for determining absolute and projective facial mass. Vernier readings are taken from the guide channel’s zero point giving measurements with an accuracy of 1/10 mm.

Application: It is ideal for determining absolute and projective facial mass.  If, for example, the facial skull on one half is defective then this instrument can be used to determine the width mass projectivity for the intact half of the face (with reference to the median sagittal) by doubling the measured value so that the width dimension of the total face can be determined by approximation. The reading is made at the zero point of the guide box which has one vernier (measurements with 1/10 mm accuracy).

Caution: For cleaning please do not use acetone or acetone-containing cleaning agents.
